Meaty Mondays #2 - Biltong Pizza

It's another Meaty Monday, and another alternative way of eating your Biltong!

Biltong Pizza

Following up on the healthy Biltong Salad from last week, it's time to add some carbs and go for a pizza!


The only limit on this one is your imagination, but a starter suggestion is given below to get the meat brain working. Once again, everything but the Biltong is optional!

  • Pizza Base - Buy a good one or recipe here

  • Tomato Passata - spread over the base

  • Grated Cheese (of your choice) - spread over base

  • Biltong - try garlic or chilli for a twist

  • Avocado - sliced

  • Red Onion - thinly sliced

  • Sundried Tomatoes - roughly chopped

  • Black Olives - thinly sliced

  • Jalapenos - sliced

  • A sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste

We've not listed them here, but if you are a true meat lover then mix it up with some more cuts, such as prosciutto, Serrano ham or Bresaola. Whatever meat you use, just make sure it is good quality produce, or your pizza goes from gourmet to garbage!
